Shelbyβs work primarily focuses on rock and pop production, with a keen interest in progressive rock, metal, and synth-pop. She has collaborated with high-profile clients such as Placebo and Adam Anderson of Hurts, and has contributed to corporate recording and post-production projects for prominent names including the BBC, Aardman Animations, Sky, Anvil Games, and others.
In 2024, Shelby became one of the co-owners of Sensible Music Ltd., a longstanding business serving the music industry since 1977. Sensible Music Ltd. has a legacy of working with legendary artists like Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and Duran Duran, alongside contemporary icons such as Amy Winehouse, Pink Floyd, and Dream Theater.
The company continues to attract a revolving door of top-tier talent across the decades.
Now tasked with modernising the brand, Shelby is emphasising Sensible Music Studios as a hub for high-quality services, offering recording, mixing, and mastering, as well as large-scale production rehearsal spaces. Located at its Brewery Road premises in Kingβs Cross, the studio also offers top-spec long-lease studio and production suites, catering to a wide range of client needs.
While Shelby now leads Sensible Music Ltd., this has not distracted her from her hands-on approach to working closely with clients on recording, mixing, and mastering projects. Her dedication to quality and client satisfaction remains steadfast, underscored by her recognition in the Music Producers Guild Awards, where she was nominated for Rising Star in both 2022 and 2024, and for Self-Producing Artist of the Year in 2024.
